Homework
We consider homework an important part of school life and would encourage parents to ensure that home preparation is fully and neatly completed each night.
Years 1 and 2: When the children have settled into school, they will be asked to prepare a small amount of reading at home. The most useful homework at this stage is for you to continue to read regularly to them. Homework should not take more than 30 minutes.
Years 3 – 7: Spellings and tables each night. Written work will usually consist of numeracy or literacy, based on work they have been doing in school. Reading will be from group readers or novels. Homework should not take more than 45 minutes in Year 7.
